It's not my loving you
That complicates my thoughts.
For loving anyone
Is merely planting God's own seeds
Of love which bear more fruit.

But as I live with loving you,
I find each passing day
That I am more "in love" with you.
They're not the same.

Love studies things in terms
Of how they meet your needs;
But "in love" looks at wants of mine.
Love patiently awaits
Some future "right;"
But "in love" rushes time.
Love bears, believes, and hopes all things;
But "in love" simply seeks response.
Love truly seeks the will of God;
But "in love" only wants.

It's not my loving you
That complicates my thoughts,
And while I can't predict
The course "in love" would go,
Of this I'm sure:

I'll always love you.
Love endures.
