What is the purpose for life on this earth?
This is a question oft' asked.
Many have claimed to have answers for this;
But few have had answers that last.

Do we exist to have fun while we're here?
Is there a God like some say?
Should we just live for the moment at hand
Or plan on a Judgment Day?

Who knows the answer to how we got here?
Who knows the tale of man's birth?
Should we just take it for granted we're here
And try to be something of worth?

How was the world that we live on begun?
Did it just happen to be?
Or was it the plan of a Spiritual Power:
Someone we sense, but can't see?

What is the purpose for life on this earth?
Why do we even exist?
How did we get here? How did things start?
Questions whose answers we've missed.

It seems that the answers are numerous enough,
But how do we know which are right?
How do we know which doctrine to follow?
Is there a guiding light?

Life will be filled with questions like these
And hours they'll be pondered upon.
But as you seek answers and plan out your life,
Remember you've got only one.
